When Conservatives Are No More

I have been going over some dated material lately and am finally able to get to this. Andrew Sullivan thinks Kerry is a viable option for conservatives, but that is because he has a passionate dislike for Bush who favors DOMA.Not to be outdone, Melanie Phillips writes a great piece on her site. Sullivan is a great writer, but a sad figure. He has the penchant to describe anyone who is faithful and conservative as essentially a religious bigot. But that stems from his sexual focus. Do not be fooled: Sullivan is no Conservative really and never has been. His political opinions are all over the ocean of ideas depending on the issue that affects his self-interest. And when someone rejects natural rights like he does, what would you expect?
